One of my absolute favorite shows is returning at the end of September, for a third season full of mystery, fairytailes and lots of magic! Have a first look of one of the new characters visiting Storybrooke: it's Ariel the little mermaid!

A new take on an old legend: Dracula returns - this time on TV

Old legend. New blood. At least this is what NBC hopes to bring us next fall when they introduce the new TV show "Dracula" starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The creators of Tudors know well that epoque fits Meyers, and taking advantage the vampire hype of the past years, they strike with an old legend (Dracula), but with a few new alterations at the original Bram Stoker story.

Until we are able to see for ourselves, this is a first look at the new TV show. Enjoy!

Skins: Not your ordinary TV teen drama

Set in Bristol, UK, Skins first aired in 2007, creating loyal fans and introducing as to some future TV & movie stars.

Provocative, sassy, real, Skins portrayed how being a teenager is actually like. No pink clouds, no fantasy lives; this series showed it like it is.
Picture
The series is divided to three generations and 7 seasons.
The first six seasons focus on the three generations, whilst the seventh that premiered last week, will take us back to three characters: Effie from seasons 1-4, Cook from series 3-4 and of course Cassie from seasons 1-2.

Skins, has had all sorts of characters: losers, misfits, artists, popular kids – you name it. There is at least one character for someone to connect to. The issues that the series touches are not those that an ordinary teenager would deal (Love triangles, lesbian relationships, drugs, mental breakdowns, murders, suicides) – yet Skins is real. Raw. Honest.

Picture
Fun fact: In 2011, a US version of Skins was launched in MTV. The series was an exact replica of the UK version (with a few twists) and despite the fact that the same network series airs such as Jersey Shore or Teen Mom with huge success, Skins US, raised lots of controversy, over its sexual content, in which several advertisers withdrew, leading to no renewal for season 2.

Picture
This innovative series, introduced us to many young actors that would later on become stars: Nicolas Hoult (X-men, Warm Bodies, A Single Man, Jack The giant slayer), Dev Patel (Jamal in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire), Hannah Murray & Joe Dempsie (you know, Gilly  & Gendry from that little show named Game of Thrones..), Kaya Scodelario (Wuthering Heights adaptation), Jack O’Connell (who we will soon see at 300: Rise Of An Empire), Luke Pasqualino (The Borgias, Battlestar Galactica and soon in Snowpiercer, the intriguing English-language debut of The Host director Bong Joon-ho), to name a few.
Picture
The latest season (7th) will be the last one as it is rumored and this is the first time that we see characters not in their teens, but in their young adult life. Will Effie have surpassed her mental & drug issues? Will Cook have managed to become a functional member of society (doubtful)? And will Cassie have become...well, normal?

Out of all the characters that have passed from Skins, these three make a very interesting choice. It is left to see whether (in the words of Gaspar Noe) time will have changed everything....

A Game of thrones parody video to help you get over the loss of beloved chatacters or as the song says: "Now and then I think of back in 2011, back in season 1 where all the characters were alive..."

Hilarious!

    Her Dudeness

Ever since I first set foot on a cinema theatre, I knew that something magical was happening there....

It's this thrill of somehow becoming (even for a little while) part of the other people's lives -  from different countries, times, cultures.

It's watching Marlon Brando in "The Godfather", it's singing "Shout!" at the tonga party in the "Animal House", it's Brad Pitt screaming "What's in the box?" at "7seven", it's overall the feeling that somehow "you're not in Kansas anymore"...
