"Breaking Bad. B*tch." as Jesse Pinkman would say. Emmys 2014 big winner was Breaking Bad & Sherlock. True Detective lost all big categories and Modern Family proved that it still has it! Julianna Margulies (Good Wife) is the undoubtable drama queen, while Julia Louis-Dreyfus the queen of laughs (and kissing). Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story: Coven and The Normal Heart took home also some awards and Jim Parsons made everybody jealous of his Emmy (not Amy) and his big fat pay check. ![]() EMMY WINNERS 2014 OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES: Breaking Bad • AMC OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES: Bryan Cranston as Walter White Breaking Bad • AMC OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES: Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick The Good Wife • CBS OUTSTANDING WRITING FOR A DRAMA SERIES: Moira Walley-Beckett, Breaking Bad • AMC OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES: Anna Gunn as Skyler White Breaking Bad • AMC OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A DRAMA SERIES: Cary Joji Fukunaga, True Detective • HBO OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES: Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman Breaking Bad • AMC OUTSTANDING TELEVISION MOVIE: The Normal Heart • HBO OUTSTANDING MINISERIES: Fargo • FX OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE: Jessica Lange as Fiona Goode American Horror Story: Coven • FX OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE: Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes Sherlock • PBS OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE: Martin Freeman as John Watson Sherlock • PBS OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE: Kathy Bates as Madame Delphine LaLaurie American Horror Story: Coven • FX OUTSTANDING WRITING FOR A MINISERIES, MOVIE OR A DRAMATIC SPECIAL: Steven Moffat, Sherlock: His Last Vow • PBS OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A MINISERIES, MOVIE OR A DRAMATIC SPECIAL: Colin Bucksey, Fargo • FX OUTSTANDING COMEDY SERIES: Modern Family • ABC OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES: Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer Veep • HBO OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES: Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper The Big Bang Theory • CBS OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A COMEDY SERIES: Gail Mancuso, Modern Family • ABC OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A COMEDY SERIES: Allison Janney as Bonnie Mom • CBS OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES: Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy Modern Family • ABC The award show itself was very good written by the Late Night with Seth Meyers writters and of course the man himself was hilarious; especially that open monologue. No musical numbers. No shenanigans. Just good old comedy. The tribute to Robin Williams was touching and showed some of his best work in stand up comedy. Funniest part of the show other than the jokes? Weird Al performing TV show music themes! Gotta love the GoT theme with guest star George RR Martin! Valar Morgulis!

Arya kills for the first timeAnd so it is….. Another Game of Thrones season ended… Valar Morghulis my friends... No one is safe... An amazing season I would say with lots of WTF moments… Let’s recap a bit the season through those jaw dropping moments! (It goes without saying that this post is full of spoilers to those who have not yet watched season 4!!) Arya makes her first kill on episode 1, with the help of the Needle while the Hound delivers the “chicken speech”! “Every fucking chicken in this room…“ Oberyn... in every sceneOberyn in every single scene! Whether it is the introductory scene in Littlefinger’s brothel, his touching discussion with Tyrion about the first time that they actually met or his marvelous death…. “- Are you going to fight that? - I am going to kill that.” An amazing character that was built up in only one season and made us all morn his death at the 8th episode… The Purple WeddingWell, who can forget the first major WTF moment of the season: The Purple Wedding! Joffrey’s death was such a shocker although everyone waited/hoped for it. The way that the episode was building up to this, makes this the second best episode of the season! Littlefinger has big plansLittlefinger’s betrayals were revealed during this season. So yes, it seems (at least for now) that this Irish is behind everything! His ultimate WTF moment: the moon door… Goth SansaFollowing Littlefinger’s Machiavellian ways, Sansa makes the ultimate surprise by supporting his story and then has a makeover (to hide her red Stark hair) revealing a more goth look…. The controversial sceneAt episode 3 we had one of the most controversial scenes..... A rape that ends up consensual? Jamie and Cersei have sex/Cersei is getting raped (I told you: controversial scene) on their son’s death bed. Doesn’t get nastier than that... Ygritte knew everythingAfter the jaw dropping best episode of the season with Oberyn’s death, the action is tranfered at the Wall where I think the most WTF moment was Ygritte’s death… “You know nothing Jon Snow..”, she whispered for the last time... Take a walk on the wild side (with the whitewalkers)And who can forget the white walkers?? We (finally) saw them again, and it was spooky!! Hodor! Hodor! Hodor!Hodor was playing a bigger part this season, with him finally taking a stand (with the help/possession of Bran) and shouting proudly “Hodor” to whoever was in his way! Tyrion objectsA moment that is not so much WTF but will be the key to Peter Dinklage winning yet another Emmy, was the powerful trial speech scene with Tyrion telling the population of King's Landing exactly what he thinks of them. "Father, I wish to confess. I wish to confess…" And I believe the last WTF moment(s) came at the season finale, with Tyrion escaping (thankfully) but facing Shae and his Father….
